Alex Ocampo operates at the darker end of the techno spectrum, where raw grooves meet hypnotic tension. The Miami-based producer and DJ has built his name the way the underground respects most: not through hype, but through records that working DJs actually play.

That currency is real. His releases and remixes on labels such as Klaudia Gawlas' ILLUSION Recordings, A.Paul's Naked Lunch and ONHCET, Odd Recordings, Unity Records, Magna Recordings and U.F.O. Recordings have drawn support spanning generations of techno — from Danny Tenaglia and Coyu to Thomas Schumacher, Agent Orange DJ and That Kid Chris, who went from commissioning Ocampo as a remixer to charting his originals. His remix of “The Lying Scene” climbed to #4 on Beatport's Techno (Raw/Deep/Hypnotic) chart, while his tracks travel on their own momentum — surfacing at HÖR Berlin and in the weekly rotations of DJs from the Netherlands and Portugal to Brazil, Argentina and New York's underground radio circuit.

In the booth, Ocampo channels that same energy: dirty grooves, hypnotic tension and relentless forward drive, shaped into fully immersive late-night journeys built for the dark hours of the floor.

With his latest output landing on Klaudia Gawlas' ILLUSION Recordings and a solo EP on A.Paul's storied Naked Lunch imprint, Ocampo's ascent is the quiet kind — the kind that lasts.
